DAY 1
Welcome at Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon we start our magical tour of the city of Lima and the main tourist attractions offered by the capital of Peru. DAY 7
The tour begins with your pick up at the hotel at 6:30 am to go to the port of Lake Titicaca, we immediately board our boats and after 30 minutes of travel we arrive at the beautiful floating islands of the Uros, unique in the world. Then we continue our trip to the island of Taquile arriving at 11:00 am approximately, we make a 30 minute walk from the port of Taquile to reach the village, where we will have approximately two hours to enjoy the beautiful scenery, the production of handicrafts and the traditional way of life of these islanders, it is here where we will have lunch. DAY 8
In the afternoon at approximately 1:00 p.m. Start your adventure in the majestic Plaza de Armas where our tour will begin to enjoy a wonderful tour. DAY 9
Full day excursion. We will pick you up at 8:00 am from your hotel to go to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will start visiting the archaeological center of Pisac at 45 minutes that will give you an idea of the advanced knowledge that the Incas achieved in architecture, from one of its many natural viewpoints, we will observe the impressive landscapes and natural snowy Sacred Valley. We will have the opportunity to appreciate its famous and picturesque craft market and its various forms of trade. At noon, through the banks of the Vilcanota River, we will continue our journey to Urubamba to enjoy a delicious novo-Andean buffet lunch of exquisite Peruvian cuisine.
In the afternoon we will visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo which was a strategic military center. It is in Ollantaytambo that we will board the train to Aguas Calientes to visit Machu Picchu the following day. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
DAY 10
Very early we will go to the bus station, to ascend to 400 m high for 30 minutes, finally we arrive to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and enjoy the sunrise, the view is breathtaking, we will enjoy the guided tour for approximately 02 hours for you to know better the history and architecture of the Inca City of Machu Picchu. You will be amazed with the Inca constructions and temples, as well as the natural environment that surrounds it. After the tour you will have free time to continue exploring and take pictures to remember your visit. In the afternoon we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes where you will have time to have lunch, rest and visit the town of Aguas Calientes. At the appointed time we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo where a staff will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
DAY 11
Early in the morning we will pick you up at your hotel to go to the airport and take our flight to the Peruvian Amazon.
We will arrive in the city of Puerto Maldonado, a very hot place where an agent of the agency will meet you at the airport and we will be transferred to Bello Horizonte Ecolodge, where we will receive our welcome with a delicious appetizer.
The first scheduled activity will be a visit to the botanical garden. There, our guide will offer a detailed interpretation of the plants with healing properties and share information about how native communities use them in their traditional practices. Afterwards, we will enjoy lunch with an exquisite typical dish of the region.
We will continue exploring the immensity of the aguajal, immersing ourselves in an environment surrounded by lush palm vegetation, which serves as a habitat for numerous animal species. Following our path, we will arrive at the canopy, suspended between two majestic trees of the mother forest. At this point, we will ascend to the platform to observe birds, monkeys and other fascinating species, while enjoying the breathtaking view of the sunset. Upon returning to the lodge, a comforting dinner will be waiting for us to finish the day.
DAY 12
We will wake up very early at 4:30 a.m. after having a light coffee we will start our 40 minutes trip upstream to the Macaw Clay Lick of El Chuncho, in the Bahuaja - Sonene National Park, where we will enjoy beautiful natural scenery and wildlife on the banks of the Tambopata River. Upon arrival, weather permitting, we will be able to observe one of the greatest wildlife spectacles: hundreds of parrots and macaws of various species descending to feed on the mud of a ravine, an experience you will never forget. Afterwards, we have a snack and return to the Lodge for breakfast and rest, you can do adventure activities, enjoy the facilities and amenities offered by the Lodge, swim in the Tambopata River, do Kayaking or Zipline zip lines (additional cost of $20.00), climb a 50 meter tree (additional cost of $40.00) or fish some of the more than 250 species of fish that inhabit the area. After lunch, we will go deep into the jungle on an ethnobotanical walk along the Tambopata trails, learning about the medicinal plants and trees of the area, and observing the impressive Amazonian ecosystem we will be able to see walking palms, ancient lupuna trees, snakes, etc. In the evening, we will take a night boat ride in search of caimans. After dinner we will rest and spend the night at Wasaí Tambopata Lodge.
DAY 13
After a restful night at dawn, you will be delighted with the melodic song of birds and the presence of some mammals. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will begin our activities exploring a winding trail surrounded by majestic trees, such as the well-known Lupuna, and a variety of native Amazonian trees. During this excursion, there is the exciting possibility of spotting and listening to the diverse fauna, such as parrots, toucans, monkeys and insects.
Taking advantage of the warm morning atmosphere, you will have time to enjoy our natural spring water pool and/or capture photographic moments in the surroundings. Upon returning to the lodge, a typical local lunch will complete the culinary experience.
After a brief rest, we will continue our exploratory program, arriving at a beautiful lake in the local community of Santa Teresa, a private protected area. We will navigate its waters, giving us the unique opportunity to observe a varied avifauna, such as parrots, macaws, anhingas, as well as insects, frogs and reptiles. As for the flora, we will be able to appreciate palm trees, aquatic plants and other species.
The day will culminate with the fascinating experience of witnessing the sunset and the nocturnal activity of the lake's fauna. Afterwards, we will return to the lodge to enjoy a comforting dinner.
DAY 14
After a delicious breakfast, you will have the morning free to explore the streets, churches and markets that the city of Puerto Maldonado has to offer. Finally, after coordination at an appropriate time, transfer to the airport to board your departure flight.
