In this tour you will visit the central market of the city of Cusco and you will learn about the many traditional ingredients in Peruvian food as well as some of the secrets of its rich flavor.

We will receive advice from a local chef about the secrets, techniques and stories that the kitchen holds, we will enjoy an environment where we will understand the origins and feel the flavors of Peruvian cuisine.

Itinerary by Hours

  1. 09:00 a.m: Pick up from your hotel for transfer to the Central Market of San Pedro de Cusco.
  2. 10:00 a.m: Informative explanation and purchase of inputs for the preparation of our cooking class
  3. 11:30 p.m: Preparation of authentic local food of your choice and participate in its elaboration.
  4. 13:00 p.m: Tasting of our preparation, an exquisite Peruvian food. End of the Tour

Culinary Tour in Cusco

We start in the morning, we will pick you up from the hotel and transfer to the local food market of San Pedro, which operates every day of the week with a variety of delicious items and supplies such as: cheeses, huge chuta de oropesa breads, tropical fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices, fresh coca leaves and also some "strange" products that will leave you amazed.

At the San Pedro market you will receive a briefing from our chef about local ingredients (aji amarillo, quinoa, a variety of potatoes, zetas (mushrooms), aguaymanto, etc) and you will also have the opportunity to buy them and negotiate prices with local suppliers. Afterwards, our chef will invite us to his place, where he will have his apron ready, to begin the private culinary lesson.

We will start with the preparation of the most famous Peruvian drink, our delicious Pisco Sour, then the chef will continue the preparation of the Peruvian appetizers and main dishes with you. You will be part of the preparation and will have the opportunity to interact with the chef, it will be a rewarding experience between stories and pictures.
